Hole 1
Hole 1
Playing Tips: The tee shot should be aimed left centre fairway to take the bunker out of play and use the fairway slope for extra distance. The bunker well short of the green is deceptive and can cause you to underclub for the second; check distance carefully to this small green.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 349m Womens 323m -
Hole2
Hole 2
Playing Tips: Not a long par 5 so don't let the distance spook you, a straight tee shot is more important. Consider laying up short of the fairway bunkers for your second, it is only a short iron in from there. Note the slopes on the green when playing your shot in.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 345m Womens 305m -
Hole3
Hole 3
Playing Tips: With the length of this par 4 a driver is called for - swing easy for best results. The raised green is a challenge. If distance is a problem, a lay up short leaves an easier chip in than one from side green or bunker.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 390m Womens 374m -
Hole 4
Hole 4
Playing Tips: Not a wide green here so the premium is on a straight shot. Check the distance of the tee markers of the day and swing easy with your choosen club to keep the shot on line. Many severe slopes on this green call for a careful read of your putt.
PAR 3 Distance: Mens 165m Womens 148m -
Hole 5
Hole 5
Playing Tips: Your most reliable long iron or 5 wood at most off the tee and the ball must finish right of centre fairway - trees on the corner will block any shot hit left. Correct club selection vital for your second shot with trouble all round the green.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 270m Womens 209m -
Hole 6
Hole 6
Playing Tips: Play this hole with your head to guarantee par. A good tee shot should be followed with a lay up to the wide right dogleg fairway for an easy short iron to the green. The direct route is fraught with danger.
PAR 5 Distance: Mens 515m Womens 461m -
Hole 7
Hole 7
Playing Tips: You can play to the back of the green on this hole taking the front bunkers out of play - the ball will roll back even from the back fringe and leave you the important uphill putt. Check the distance from the tee of the day and club accordingly.
PAR 3 Distance: Mens 172m Womens 141m -
Hole 8
Hole 8
Playing Tips: The fairway slopes will 'middle' a tee shot aimed at the bunker giving you extra roll. A distance ridge divides this green front and back; choose your club to be on the right half when you play your second shot. Most trouble is short of the green on this hole.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 345m Womens 273m -
Hole 9
Hole 9
Playing Tips: Another sloping fairway calls for a tee shot to the right hand side to get best advantage. The green is three clubs deep and calls for a straight shot - check the distance carefully and err to the left if anything, you will then be chipping uphill.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 322m Womens 301m -
Hole 10
Hole 10
Playing Tips: Although rated No.3 this par 4 is very tough. A good drive favouring left centre fairway sets you up, the challenge is the long second into a severely sloping green. Do not leave yourself with the impossible downhill putt - avoid being off the green left at all costs.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 400m Womens 310m -
Hole 11
Hole 11
Playing Tips: Disregard the water here, a reasonable shot will clear it. The problems are the bunkers around the green and slopes at the back. Check the distance from the tee in use and swing smoothly - you'll be on the green. Many slopes on the green call for great care reading your putt.
PAR 3 Distance: Mens 137m Womens 113m -
Hole 12
Hole 12
Playing Tips: Ensure you have an open second shot by aiming left of centre fairway off the tee. The worst trouble for the second is left so favour the right side this time. Carefully check distance and club selection for the shot into the green; left or over will punish serverely.
PAR 5 Distance: Mens 468m Womens 415m -
Hole 13
Hole 13
Playing Tips: A pretty par three which simply calls for accurate distance assessment from the tee of the day and a smooth shot. The hold toughens up with back pin placements where the green narrows. Slopes will roll a ball hit short of mid green back towards the front and left.
PAR 3 Distance: Mens 142m Womens 112m -
Hole 14
Hole 14
Playing Tips: A wide open fairway, the driver's the club and the line is the satellite boxes distant right leaving you a second through the narrowing dogleg. The shot is into a small green and needs a good distance check and correct club selection. Bunkers front and back right side of green.
PAR 5 Distance: Mens 518m Womens 434m -
Hole 15
Hole 15
Playing Tips: The longest hole calls for a long drive to a big landing area. Slicers beware the second shot with the river on the right although right fairway is the best postion to approach this smallish green - the river very close to right edge, favour left green if in doubt.
PAR 5 Distance: Mens 538m Womens 453m -
Hole 16
Hole 16
Playing Tips: A lengthy par 4 with a large landing area but dense scrub left will punish if the ball is hooked. The green has a serve slope in front and bunkers left. Don't force your second, a lay up and pitch and putt will still yield a par.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 410m (Par 5) Womens 379m -
Hole 17
Hole 17
Playing Tips: Careful distance check vital here - you must be up guard against a pulled or hooked shot. For the timid the 'bail out' is short and right. With the pin right back at least one extra club is needed. Many significant slopes on this green make for a testing putt.
PAR 3 Distance: Mens 178m Womens 117m -
Hole 18
Hole 18
Playing Tips: It pays to clear the significant slope in the fairway and reach a level lie - club accordingly off the tee. With the whole green sloping towards the front choose a club to be under the pin when planning your second shot. 'Going for the pin' back right can be risky.
PAR 4 Distance: Mens 335m Womens 300m
